About Us
Community Connections is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children with disabilities and their families. Many children with special needs live in a cycle of school and therapy with little opportunity for extra-curricular activity. At the same time, families of children who are diagnosed with disabilities often lack education and a support network. Community Connections was estabilished in 2005 when Todd and Amy Denton (owners of Pediatrics Plus Therapy Services) and some of their staff saw that many children with disabilites did not have the opportunity to play sports and participate in the arts like their siblings and peers. From this need, Community Connections was created to provide extra-curricular activities for children with disabilites and support for their families.

Our Staff:
Courtney Leach, Director

Courtney Leach earned her Bachelors degree in Public Relations and Masters degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Central Arkansas. She left distribution management to come serve as executive director of Community Connections in 2008 when her middle son, Alex, was born with severe developmental delays. Courtney fell in love with the vision of supporting families of children with special needs and offering the kids quality extra-curricular activities. Courtney and her husband, Trip, have three sons- Quinten, Alex, & Bentley, and serve as pastors of the young family demographic at New Life Church in Conway.
Derek Moser, Program Director

Derek Moser is a graduate of Central Baptist College. After spending a few years in the corporate world Derek became involved in Community Connections as a volunteer with our RUFL football program. Shortly after helping get the football league moving the opportunity came to come on staff full time with Community Connections. Derek now oversees all of the sports programs that are offered by Community Connections. Derek’s other main responsibilities include training and coordinating volunteers and fundraising for the organization. Derek has been married to his wife Amanda for three years and has no plans for any children in the near future.
